Description:
Cella Molnar & Associates, Inc. (CMA) is the public involvement consultant for the Charlotte Harbor Water Association (CHWA) Distribution System Improvements Project. The project replaces over 18 miles of old and undersized water mains, installing new fire hydrants, isolation valves and water service connections. CMA held a groundbreaking, preconstruction neighborhood meetings, and communicated with property owners, stakeholders, and neighborhood leaders throughout the project.
CMA deliverables included project branding and logo, project website, newsletters, posters, ads, newspaper advertisements, press releases, and slide presentations. Notification flyers regarding water shut-offs, road closure notices and driveway/access changes were prepared and distributed to keep residents informed about construction. CMA drafted and obtained “Right of Entry” forms from property owners and provided a 24-hour telephone hotline and project contact cards. Coordination with Charlotte County staff and officials, police, fire, EMS, solid waste services, school transportation, community group leaders, and affected property/business owners and local media was key to the success of the project.
