Description
Cella Molnar & Associates, Inc. (CMA) was the community awareness consultant for the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Lee County as two corresponding projects took place to replace water lines on the island and also improve utilities and streetscape along the main corridor, Estero Boulevard. CMA held a ground breaking, preconstruction neighborhood meetings, and coordinated with property/business owners, stakeholders, community groups and neighborhood leaders to gather public input on potential design issues.
CMA deliverables included project branding and logo, project website, newsletters, posters, ads, newspaper advertisements, press releases, and slide presentations. Notification flyers regarding water shut-offs, boil water/rescission notices, road closure notices and driveway/access changes were prepared and distributed to keep residents informed about construction. CMA drafted and obtained “Right of Entry” forms from property owners and provided a 24-hour telephone hotline and project contact cards. Extensive coordination with Town of Fort Myers Beach and Lee County staff and officials, police, fire, EMS, solid waste services, school transportation, community group leaders, and affected property/business owners and local media was key to the success of the project.
